Ununoctium and Ununquadrium
While the synthetic element ununoctium is in group 18, it does not have the qualities of a noble gas. Ununquadrium, another synthetic element that's not in periodic group 18, does have the qualities of a noble gas.

Periodic Group 18
All of the elements in periodic group 18 share some common characteristics, such as...
-They have melting and boiling points within 10 degrees Celsius of each other.
-None of them have much of a reaction with many other elements.

Physical Properties
All of the noble gases share some physical properties. They are...
- They have no distinct smell. (Odorless)
- They are tasteless.
-They conduct electricity.
-They have low boiling and melting points.

Chemical Properties
Noble gases also share some chemical properties, such as...
- They do not react with other elements.
- They are not flammable.
-They only react with themselves.

Interesting Facts
- Noble gases are what make up the glowing parts of neon signs.
- Noble gases are also known as Inert gases.
- All noble gases are obtained from the air.

Common Uses
- Lighting
-Helium is used in balloons.
-Due to their low boiling and melting points, they are used for refridgeration.
